Anger Management and Wounded Healer Path – Announcements and Updates
New program Anger Management and Batterer Programs!
Wounded Healers Institute (WHI) has opened its enrollment to our Anger Management Path (which includes our cannabis-based anger management path and our batterer programming).
Created by Dr. Adam O’Brien who recognizes the absence of effective approaches that are dissociative and addiction-informed, Path of the Wounded Healer stands to support this community need. He has over 12 years of experience with anger management programming and
has specialized training in psychedelic care.
As a trauma, dissociation, and addiction specialist, Dr. Adam developed the PWH to be a multifaceted way to help people manage their anger, learn to heal, and established an honest recovery. Trained through the National Anger Management Association and earned his PhD in Addiction Studies in 2023, with his extensive expertise in evidence-based treatments like EMDR, he designed the PWH dissociative to be trauma, dissociative, addiction-informed programs that meet the court-approved standards and addresses the interconnected nature of addiction, anger, trauma, and dissociative pathology that was explored in Dr. O’Brien’s dissertation.
The PWH program is specifically tailored to meet the societal needs of our community, providing clients with tools to manage anger effectively and addressing the underlying factors contributing to these challenges. The curriculum aligns with court requirements and reflects a trauma-informed, research-backed approach to behavioral change.
We at WHI welcome the opportunity to discuss how this program could benefit your court’s referrals and support individuals in achieving lasting and meaningful change.
