Healing/Education/Coaching
We offer personal healing and professional coaching for your posttraumatic growth, resiliency training, and performance enhancement for those who want to become everything they know they are and believe themselves to be capable of. We perform healing and coaching for health and wellness, relationships, navigating states of (un)consciousness, spirituality, shamanism, meditation, and normative dissociation and addiction through the lens of the Addiction as Dissociation Model (O’Brien, 2023).
Included in these healing/coaching services are: Life and Death, Recovery, Meditation/Mindfulness, Advocacy Mentoring, Integrative Medicine and Wellness, Shamanistic and Breath, Pain/Chronic disease, Life Story, Creative Arts, Psychedelic Healing Sound Bath, Transformational Developmental Healing, Career Coaching, Neurofeedback and biofeedback training, Performance Enhancement, and Psychedelic Integration and/or Harm Reduction.
We are looking to support people in their ongoing healing of every day stress (acute or chronic), which we see as helping positive outcomes happen. This model is designed to help with developmental trauma and normative dissociation/addictions. You can have a diagnosis and engage in our services as long as it is supportive of your personal healing from non-diagnosable conditions and professional goals. Our clinical experience has taught us that people need regulation more than they need to talk about their “problems”, “issues”, “conditions”, or “diagnoses.” Our take is that they need to experientially learn about them to heal from them. We perform psychedelic healings with people, both individually and in groups. We will do so publicly and privately.
As a part of our model, we help you get regulated like a personal trainer helps get you fit. Think of this like a gym membership… and we will be your personal trainers and coaches. Healing is the result of what happens and the changes you make to your lifestyle, reasoning, or rationale. We are also a spiritual center for personal growth and enlightenment.
By becoming a member, you will gain to access to our wellness classes and other educational resources that Dr. Adam has developed over the years with his clients. What has been the most helpful is what is presented. What is presented is also performed in such a way that it helps the participant experience what they are learning about. Our main topics are healing from trauma, dissociation, and addiction. As these are somatic experiences, we consider ourselves somatic healers. As we are also training people to use psychedelic medicines, we offer the same path to the informed consumer right in the comfort of their our home.
Our coaching model follows the Path of the Wounded Healer (PWH), which is based on the Addiction as Dissociation Model.(ADM) You have the option of getting a membership like in a gym or having one-on-one personal healer, coach, or trainer. Both come with the perks of engaging in our services, which include Neurofeedback training, Bemer with Pulse Electro-Magntic Field (PEMF) technology, spiritual and ritualistic ceremonies, and psychedelic sitting, guiding, and coaching. This is all to support your posttraumtic growth, resilience, and universal healing.
Pricing: Adam O’Brien, Ph.D., LMHC, CASAC offers any of these coaching services for 200$ an hour. (This can be prorated down to 45-min (150$), 30-min (100$), and 15-minute (50$) intervals.) *150.00 an hour if you are participating in our research.
Spiritual Psychedelic Sitting and Guiding are the two different ways we work with people within our ADM and PWH models.
The process looks like this, depending on appropriateness and goals, there is a 2-hour intake > Neurofeedback (see specifics under the Neurofeedback lesson in this course (Orientation)), meditation, self-medication protocol (until regulation is established) > sacrament (medicine ritual) > Integration > recovery/maintenance/wellness program (Posttraumatic Gym and Spa(PTGG))
For Dr. Adam: Sitting is 200 an hour. Guiding is 300 an hour. Interns and WHI members are available at reduced rates.
You can attend our Events for reduced pricing. *Sliding scale is available, depending on circumstances and appropriateness.
After registering and reviewing the Orientation and ADM, let me know when you are ready to take the Meditation Mindfulness (MM) course. It is a 7 week course. *If you are combining with Neurofeedback, please review the lesson in this course.
Upon completion of MM, let me know, and then you can gain access to the Path of the Wounded Healer. After that, PTG gym (PTGG). The MM course is to prepare you for what you will need to do PWH in the PTGG.
As far as payments go, it is 100 a month each for MM and PTGG. WHI can charge you if your card is on file or you can do it online. If you are paying cash, then obviously in person is best.
PTG Gym membership involves ongoing access to meditation classes, coaching, Bio/Neurofeedback resiliency training, and BEMER technology to help improve your energy levels. Additionally, we offer Sound Baths, Shamanistic Journeying, Reiki, and Crano-Sacral (more services coming in the near future…). The combination of these services in our PTG gym has clinically shown us that reducing unconscious stress stored in the body helps the mind recover and helps with physical ailments. With ADM and PTW, people become who they know themselves to be. We have seen improvements in a variety of chronic physical health conditions.
Healing/educational/coaching model, in general, offers an approach to help people maintain their life, personal, and professional goals. Our stance is that since developmental trauma is not considered a diagnosis by the industry standards of the day and many people are often being treated for a diagnosis that does not exist (or shouldn’t exist, ever because it is the normal). If the normative range of trauma produces normal responses to all too common events, then what the helping professions are really doing is treating normal. The healing/coaching model offers support for the normative ranges of living life on life’s terms and having respect for the living and dying process. This is what we believe people also need because people that we have been working with have told us that this is what they need. Our clinical practice demonstrated to us that 75-90% of therapy relates to developmental and attachment trauma and environmental stresses, which are not diagnoses. We have polled therapists who report the same percentages. We have seen that simply regulating the body through non-clinical means supports everyones long-term healing needs. If the term “Healing” is a term that you need an explanation for, we suggest reading our foundational document, if you want: Addiction as Trauma-related Dissociation: A Phenomenological Investigation into the Addictive State (O’Brien, 2023). You can access that HERE.
Our healing/educational/coaching model and path is theoretically based on the Addiction as Dissociation Model and allows for the Path of the Wounded Healer to be revealed. This path is in response to the insights that we gained by doing our doctoral work. These insights are generally outlined in different places but are also experienced through the application and orientation processes. It will make more sense the more you go through it. If you need more individual explanation, we recommend doing a consultation session to help you with you direct questions.
We realize that it is a big deal to reach out to someone for support or help or make new improvements in your life. Even if it is your first time or you have been doing this for a while, it can still feel uncomfortable. We recognize that not everyone knows about this process, so we have created this Orientation Class so you can cover all of this in a more step-by-step format (with a lot of bonus features) before meeting. Because what we do is somewhat different than what you might expect, if you prefer to just make a consultation appointment and have us walk you through this process, please let us know by emailing us at: [email protected]
We realize that choosing a healer/educator/teacher/coach or starting any new process can be challenging. We may have given you guidance on this when you first contact us, but below outlines our transparency.
*Everything we do can be done adjunctively with other supports/therapists/prescribers. Although the work you do here can feel supplemental to that work, we believe it is critical to do both.

Scheduling and Hours: We work on a first come first serve basis, depending on clinical need. If we reach out to you and don’t hear from you, then the time slot that I originally offered may no longer be available. Offered appointments are only good for 24-hours, but may be still be available. Point is, let us know if you are interested and are going to respond, but are unsure or feeling a certain way. Let us know so we can work to meet you where you are at in your Wounded Healer journey.
Hours: 7am-4pm M-F.
*Since we are not therapy, we do not take any insurance, provide diagnosis, or perform psychological evaluations. However, we are an excellent resource on the diagnostic subject, which in our opinion need some updates to support common sense.
